These are tough problems --- the vehicle soils tend to soak in, and salt can cause material breakdown, especially in combination with ice When cleaning horizontal concrete and brick, it's important to do it frequently (because the dirt returns quickly), thoroughly (because the dirt can be in deep as well as on the surface), and gently (in order to not break down the materials' own skin or any protective sealers that may have been applied). We find that steam cleaning, rather than the use of soaps or other solutions, works best in the long run.
Many of our commercial customers have us clean their drives and entries at least once, and some times twice a year.
