Agricultural buildings -
tend to be OLD wood. Often, they've been neglected for at least a few of their many years of existence.
The resulting weathered surface is usually deeply fissured, with many loose wood fibers on the surface
A long-lasting paint job, therefore, requires careful cleaning and preparation. In order for new paint to soak in to sound wood rather than damaged wood, the loose fibers (and dirt and mildew) must be completely removed.

We apply the same techniques to agricultural buildings as to other wood structures, with special attention paid to the condition of the wood. We choose solutions, temperatures, nozzle size, and water pressure to match the underlying material's softness and porosity. |
